Of course there may not be any connection between this and the Ford investigation although it is interesting to note that Shuter and Parliament is in the heart of the downtown Somalian community.

Also I noticed a couple of days after the crack story broke Toronto Police issued a missing person person press release for a man of Somalian descent:

It will be interesting to see if he has any connection to the Ford crack-case. Maybe completely unrelated but its always fun to do amateur sleuthing.

I'm looking down at the Shuter and Parliament intersection right now - and I don't see anything out of the ordinary
 
A CTV News story I saw said the human remains on Shuter were discovered in the morning. The Police have already left.

More remains were discovered in the Jane and Alliance area this afternoon and Police believe the incidents are related but have not elaborated.

According to the CityTV news report it was in that area - not necessarily in the intersection. What I find strange is CityTV has scrubbed this story from their website and I don't see it being reported anywhere else as yet. Weird!

I am really hoping that they are not connected to Ford. We already have one connected to him. We don't need two more.

If the Shuter remains are connected to the Jane and Alliance case then it is not likely related to the Ford case because these were female remains.

That deals with the remains found in the Jane/Eglinton area. It could be that, on further investigation, the remains downtown were not human.

Her career background seems very Canadian establishment to me. Not really the type to "go after" Ford. I wonder, if she is the reporter in question, whether she was trying to help Ford out, give him a heads up. Because if not, the call seems like a very rookie mistake for a journalist.

I don't fault Newton for doing her journalistic duty and following up on information.
