Toronto Aura at College Park | 271.87m | 78s | Canderel | Graziani + Corazza

Speaking of Aura penthouses, this video (just photographs) was posted today and perhaps is our first look at one of the 79th floor penthouses, which, lack the massive awkward bulkhead in Patterson's unit.
It's weird that the unit shown below is named 7916, considering there are only 4 units not he 79th floor. Shouldn't it be 1701, 1702, 1703, or 1704? Perhaps it's because it's the 16th 'penthouse-style' unit in the building?
Anyway, this is a really impressive suite with true floor-to-ceiling windows and impressive ceiling heights. The views offered from the upper floors of this building really remind me of those videos of the Trump Chicago penthouse and how unobstructed the views are from those heights. Aside from the south view, you really are looking down at every other building in the city by a long-shot. While that will soon change, certain vistas like the east and the west will probably remain intact for many many years.

They posted a timelapse video of construction on their blog:

If I had the money to buy that penthouse unit I'd spend a wack of money ripping out the bathrooms and the kitchen. All that beige and off white. Yuck.

Some interesting videos posted to Youtube recently from the Globe and Mail and the official Aura Condos channel:

This video below shares some interesting tidbits of info regarding the penthouses and the building. It starts off on an interesting note saying that the Aura penthouse is the largest of its kind in Canada. No it is not, not since they divided it. It's quite misleading.
On another note, the video shares some interesting details regarding maintenance fees as split between the two condo corps. I never looked at it that way, but it lends itself to the fact that Aura really is like 2 separate buildings, even from a visual perspective, where you get the 'ugly half' below laced in spandrel, and a completely different building above in dark, curved, curtainwall.

Another "lonely Aura" shot. This time from Dieppe Park in East York. It really is quite solitary from this angle. This should change once all the Yonge St. development goes up in the next 5 years.

Our old friend Peepers was saying on SSC that they were working on Thursday night - but I never saw any confirmation of that.
