Just received this email from Google today... (I "was" a regular contributor to Google's 3D Warehouse, so I sometimes get Google Sketchup related emails.)

Hello. I wanted to connect with you regarding your 3d models in Google Earth. We are preparing to release a full dataset for the City of Toronto in the next few days. In order to ensure consistent visual quality, several of your models were removed because they were not phototextured, and therefore would stand out in the city model. A number of your phototextured models will remain however...

From the email it sounds like Google will be putting up a long-awaited, highly-detailed 3D model of Downtown Toronto on Google Earth in the next few days. Google has already uploaded detailed models of many American downtowns to Google Earth a long time ago. Recently, downtown Vancouver was also uploaded...

Can't wait to see what Google's rendering of Downtown Toronto will be like!
 
Looks like they uploaded their 3d models :D Looking good!

At first glance, it stretches from the DVP to past Bathurst at grace street. And goes as far north as Bernard.
