Here is another Markham Centre proposal. This one is on the small parcel of land on the east side of Warden that is not owned by Remington for its Downtown Markham proposal (http://www.urbantoronto.ca/showthread.php?t=5427) or the other group which plans to develop the lands at the SE corner of Highway 7 and Warden (http://www.urbantoronto.ca/showthread.php?t=7984). This proposal is for three towers (20s, 20s, 8s / 945 units):

With these proposals and the recently proposed 7-tower project near the Unionville Go Station (http://www.urbantoronto.ca/showthread.php?t=8722), development in Markham Centre is really starting to pick up.

Downtown Markham Centre's projects are getting confusing...they need better branding. It'll be neat to watch 15,000-20,000 units get built in the area over the next decade or so.

sources at the Town tells me 'Aryeh Construction' in fact are the Conservatory Group people ~ :D

MODs, can this thread be adjusted to match other Markham Centre threads? like ..... 8293-8303 Warden @ Hwy 7 (Markham Ctr, Conservatory, 2x 20s + 8s)

and this is an overall plan showing all current developments in Markham Centre, Conservatory's site is on is on the middle left, east of Warden Avenue, south of Highway 7

Another plan that reconfirms Aryeh site is now under Conservatory Group (look at the left part of the image, south of Times Group's Block 1) ... also showing this site's location relative to Remington's Downtowm Markham project to the south and Times Group's Uptown Markham project to the east ~

The lastest preliminary concept I've seen show 5 towers each 20 storeys in height, designed by E. I. Richmnond Architects Ltd. (typical of Conservatory Group). The site is bisected by Street 'C' (which aligns with Clegg Road), 1 tower is located on the north side while 4 towers are located on the south side

MODs ... my thoughts: :)
8293-8303 Warden @ Hwy 7 (Markham Ctr, Conservatory, 5x 20s, E I Richmond)

An application for the proposed relocation and partial demolition of the existing heritage home ... to make way for Conservatory's 5 tower proposal~

Markham settlement discussions
June 16, 2010

In a prehearing decision issued June 7, board member Donald Granger provided an update on appeals by Aryeh Construction Ltd. against the Town of Markham’s failure to approve official plan and zoning by-law amendments and a plan of subdivision to permit development of an eight storey, 125-unit residential building, a 20-storey, 313-unit residential tower and a 20-storey, 507-unit residential tower at 8293 and 8303 Warden Avenue, south of Highway 7.

The board was informed that a settlement reached between the Times Group Inc., the town and York Region in another case means the town can allocate municipal services to Aryeh’s property.

Parties involved have agreed to allow time for the possible settlement of issues in Aryeh’s appeals. The board set aside August 16 for a further prehearing conference. The date will include consideration of any potential settlement that may be reached before then.
