Though come to read up on it, perhaps the 'Fubar Centre' might not be so far off-base.
Well, if Lastman gets it, it will have to be the Lastman"s Badboy World's Greatest Centre! (To hell with modesty and truth in advertising) :-)
I like the Fubar Centre moniker. That will definitely fit the bill for many who are horrified that yet more of Peter Dickinson's work will be disfigured. I am unhappy that saving this building has come to this, but if the Board and City say this is what they have to do to preserve it, I am glad that they have a unique and potentially iconic tower waiting to rise to the side of the auditorium. If it all goes ahead, let's hope that Libeskind interfaces his building respectfully.
