BTW: How high are the ceilings on the master bedroom skyplex thing? they look real short in comparison to the floors below.

That's just the first layer of steel decking. The final cladding will not be applied for quite some time.

The roof of the dome is being clad with titanium-zinc tiles. The north and west shearwalls will be clad in glass.

I suspect The Toronto Star's Christopher Hume has let his leftist political views cloud any real architectural critique of this building. This majestic piece of post-modernism doesn't try to hide that it is a towering symbol of capitalist wealth. That's something that doesn't sit well in his socialist wonderland.

The temporary steel box around the spire is now completely removed. The onion dome looks spectacular even without the glass!
