That's a weeeeeird part of town. Like, "beefy bearded tattooed guys gonna do me over with pool cues" weird...

Kinda reminds me of that bugs bunny cartoon where they want to build a tower on top of his bunny hole, and in the end they have an indentation in the building accommodating it.
 
It's hideous! Black concrete walls up top, down low, and points between. Reminds me of the "Skydome" tower in Amsterdam.
 
This tower will most certainly be a landmark building in the area, just like the two round apartment towers you can see from the Bloor-Danforth subway just south of Warden Station.
 
I'd give it props should it use 1982-style brown and orange bricks, but I know they won't use real bricks, and if they do it'll be done crappily like all other masonry these days.
 
It looks like on old style rental apartment that had a minor renovation to try and make it more current.
