Grand Lisboa (Macau): Ugliest Skyscraper in the World?

I might not be a good judge of great skyscrapers, but when I saw this tower going up in Macau, China (the world's newest gambling capital and my father's hometown) I had to ask the question, "what were they smoking?"

The skyscraper in question is the Grand Lisboa Hotel and Casino. The hotel tower is designed in the shape of a lotus, which is the city's official flower. However the lotus is only visible from two sides; on the other two sides the tower looks like any other slab. The casino portion is a massive golden dome below the hotel tower. Very shocking design... in a bad way.

Wow, that's pure cheese. And not the mild cheddar kind... we're talking gorgonzola or possibly limburger.

Or Pied-de-Vent, my favourite, stinkiest Quebec cheese. Alex Farms carries it.

I kind of like it.
It is, after all, a casino which means that it should be tacky.

That is awesome and awful (as in, I'm 'full of awe'). The second picture makes Macau look like a cross between Brighton, England and a Godzilla version of Tokyo.

Worst? I don't think so...if anything, it looks perfect for the area.

How can this be ugliest in the world when we have our darling dearest, The Four Season Opera House???

1. Doesn't matter. It's perhaps the ugliest opera house ever built in the world

Well, considering your "I like it! It's alot better than many boring condos in Toronto" response in this thread, you're as underdeveloped in taste as in the tenor of your response...

And that's why I need to learn from your well developed expertise. So, I'm supposed to like the 4 Season Opera House and dislike that Frenchie thing right? Ok, got it! I will keep that in mind
