I'm getting frustrated seeing this in the discussion forums.

For example, user "Condo George" has about 20 threads in the for sale section that are commercial listings promoting buildings for which he is acting as an agent.

eg.

He isn't the only agent doing this in that subforum. Considering that agents have a way to legitimately advertise on UT: http://urbantoronto.ca/forum/showthread.php/20530-Realtors-can-now-advertise-on-UrbanToronto . This shouldn't really be allowed to happen.

Secondly, I'm noticing more users are signing up and putting their personal contact info in their signature to develop business. This happens a lot in the real estate discussion forums. For example, user "Paul Meredith" has this in his signature:

Paul Meredith
Mortgage Broker
CityCan Financial, Toronto
416-409-8009
paulm@citycan.com
www.easy123mortgage.ca

Lic. 10532
Follow me on Twitter! www.twitter.com/paulmeredith
Like us on Facebook! www.facebook.com/MortgageBrokerToronto

Considering UT prohibits spam and commercial names in its rules of conduct, I don't think any of this is really appropriate or conducive to discussion on the forums. It shouldn't be a place for agents and brokers to get free advertising and find clients. It's not what the forum is for.
