Details of the first lecture in Ted Scott's upcoming summer series (all of which is outlined above):

Ted's a very engaging speaker who illustrates his lectures with copious images. Recommended as a very enjoyable way to introduce yourself to the history of architecture!

I recommend the class "Toronto's Architecture". I think they have it at both U of T and Ryerson, but U of T seems much cheaper.

I learned a lot, going through the history of Toronto and the various architectural styles, as well as neighbourhood histories.

I've been totally behind on Ted Scott's Fall lecture series, but for anyone who is interested, there are more to come:

Ted Scott has started another series for those who are interested in a particular branch of Japanese design - that of garden design.
