"Palace of Versailles" being auctioned off

I hope a developer buys it and puts up a massive condo full of 400 square foot units :)

No takers when it was originally priced at $23 million, no takers when it was "reduced" to a mere $14 million. So now it is heading to auction:

What a sad display of wanton excess and waste.

Yuck. So your basically buying for the value of the land with some added demolition expense of an unfinished building that looks like a random lottery winners dream.

Pretty sure this is it: https://maps.google.ca/maps?q=40+Pa...o,+Toronto+Division,+Ontario+M3C+2N3&t=h&z=19

The lot itself is decent backing onto a foot trail through the woods.

The challenge of selling this house is simply that very few individuals will be willing to buy a partially completed mansion on Park Lane Circle for anything more than the land value. The value of the building itself is essentially nil.

personal preference, but it looks tacky to me.
oh ... my favorite observation = Exterior Finish Stucco

I wonder who the developer was, or was this a private venture ?

Oh man. Such a shame they didn't stage it with the Art Shoppe furniture the owner must have originally envisioned for this tacky place.

Based on the auction photos, they didn't even stage it with a front door (white plastic sheet stapled on).
