The search function is screwy so I can't tell if this has been posted before. It takes some getting used to in terms of navigation but it's worth it for those interested in vertical life around the world.

NFB's Highrise

Created in collaboration with the New York Times Op-Docs, Highrise is an interactive documentary that explores the 2,500-year global history of vertical living and the issue of social equality in an increasingly urbanized world.

It won an Emmy.
