The winners are all impressive. Mjolk House in the Junction was a remarkable restoration of one of Toronto's two surviving pressed metal facades (It's a neoclassical facade done in metal--a similar idea to the storied cast-iron facades of SoHo in New York.) I don't like them referring to the Junction as a "tired neighborhood" after all the heritage restoration and renovation over the past 10-15 years that has accompanied the area's revitalization. We still have a lot to do, but it's one of the city's better preserved Victorian neighbourhoods.
