Looks like this boarded up, fire damaged eyesore on Spadina will finally be replaced.

374 Spadina
Toronto, ON

This 2-storey 2,150 SF commercial development, with its sleek lines, high ceilings, and juxtaposition of modern cladding materials, is slated to become a chic boutique restaurant in the heart of one of Toronto’s most charming and vibrant neighbourhoods, Kensington Market. Situated on a narrow lot at the corner of Spadina Avenue and Baldwin Street, the design emphasizes verticality in the dining areas through the use of floor-to-ceiling glass and double-height spaces while in tandem segregating secondary functions towards a rear, single-storey mass. The formal and material change along Baldwin Street allows for a gentle transition to the human scale; one that also serves to reinforce the pedestrian-centric Kensington experience for both visitors and locals alike.

Haha definitely gonna get graffitied all over. This in red brick wouldn't be half bad.

I don't have the document open but all of the elevations have annotations for the proposed cladding.

Kind of surprised they didn't assemble with the neighbouring lots to the south & build something a bit higher (although, for all I know, they tried & couldn't); two stories on Spadina is pretty low.

I do find it funny that they're emphasizing that it's in Kensington, and not Chinatown, even though it's a Spadina address.
