Wouldn't this be the site for the derelict "Dragon Centre"? (in background of below Google Streetview)

While I think redevelopment along Sheppard is good, the development site shouldn't be allowed to proceed until it can consolidate with the strip plaza (foreground of Google Streetview) immediate adjacent to the west which fronts onto Glen Watford Drive to ensure proper development occurs with decent site planning: the existing 1 driveway / 20 foot wide street frontage for 23 Glen Watford Drive property is not appropriate for a high density development

thanks .... this makes perfect sense since Shiu Pong owns and operates the existing centre

This project is on today's design review panel agenda. Architect is Kirkor.

i'm not sure how to view this ... what direction is the elevation?
it's probably looking eastbound since 23 is on the east side of GWD that runs N-S, but why d0es it look like there's an elevated highway in the foreground?

I recommend a redesign. Why not address Sheppard's potential not its current suburban dreariness? ie, live/work units up to the sidewalk edge that could be converted to retail in the future. Start with a doube height first floor. Pull the towers closer to the street. Reduce the height yet increase their heft--perhaps 3 smaller more slabby buildings part of one cohesive whole. You know, like they do in Europe....
