And whole bunch more sites which I tweeted about earlier today, all imo coming sooner rather than later. Source: Page 4 of this tall buildings study: http://www.mccarthy.ca/pubs/ccdecision.pdf

This is the site between the future Empire tower and Hazelton Lanes.

Other sites include:

144 Avenue Rd SW corner Davenport Rd--the Ends/Sketchly block.

99 Church Street at Richmond St East

260 Church Street at Dundas St East (Pizza Pizza)

625 Church Street between Charles & Hayden

128 Richmond Street East (Hertz lot) including Queen Street East frontage at Jarvis

Some of the sites even name the architects they're working with...

That's interesting. I'm in that building quite often and have always liked its 50s red-brick modernism. I can't really think of many buildings like it in the city.

That being said, there's a fairly large parking lot in the rear of the building that could be redeveloped into something.

you mean that WILL be redeveloped into something (hint).

Regarding the thread subject: remember that the existing complex put Diamond & Myers on the architectural map 40plus years ago...

This thread has been closed. Separate projects should be discussed in separate threads, not combined ones.
