Not sure if any of you use the Numbeo website for statistics like House Price to Income Ratio, Gross Rental Yield, Price to Rent Ratio, Mortgage as a Percentage of Income, and Affordability Index, but it is a great tool that charts almost 400 cities all over the world.
To focus on the Canadian market, simply type in "Canada" in the Search box and it'll automatically filter your region accordingly. Toronto's house price to income ratio is at 8.21 for 2012, just after Vancouver and Victoria.
The website is also great for other statistical information like cost of living, traffic, quality of life, etc.
