Owner: 501 Lakeshore Inc., Trinity Properties Lakeshore Inc. and 1716336 Ontario Inc.

West of Cawthra Rd and on the site of the Orion Bus Plant original site.

This Is to inform you that the landowners at 447, 453, 501 Lakeshore Road East and 1021, 1027, 1077, 1087 Enola Avenue, northeast corner of Lakeshore Road East and Enola Avenue, have applied' to the City to permit a mixed use development consisting of 13 B85 m2 (149,457 sq. ft.) of retail commercial space, 1 572 m2 (16,921 sq. ft.) of office space, two apartment buildings ranging in height from 7 to 20 storeys with a total of 277 apartment dwellings. There are also 13 townhouse dwellings proposed; 6 two-storey units within the facade of the apartment buildings and 7 three-storey units on a separate block. Below is a short description of the application. The City will be processing the application as required by the Provincial Planning Act and we would welcome any comments you may have.

Mod's, the Project is now call The District of Lakeview and should read ""The District of Lakeview (Trinity Properties/Rio Can, Retail Box/Condo, 2's-20's, GreenbergFarrow)""

The retail is similar to The Stockyard with parking at grade under the retail. Good design and will post photos later.

This team needs to visit the Queen & Portland development and a number of other location where more than one anchor can be in the same building as well having condos on top of them.

Single storey buildings are not going to cut it here. The plan is a starting point and can be improve on.

There are 3 different plans for the main retail, but no boards for them. They show either a NO Frill or Loblaw or Sobey's going in here and have different layouts and space. Walmart & Target have express interest in having a store here also.

It will take until 2014/15 to clean up the land if the plan is approved before construction starts. Another developer will be brought in to build the condos.

There will be a traffic light for the centre entrance. The east driveway needs to be remove.

Okay, how about they integrate the residential with the retail at grade. You know, stores along the side walk with residences up above? Kind of like the way they built cities in the old days.

I agree, single storey buildings don't cut it.
 
I also agree. It isn't about height, it's about good urban planning.
 
Just got a notification that there is to be a OMB Prehearing Conference on this project at 10 AM on Tuesday November 20, in Committee Room C at Mississauga City Hall.

I still say there needs more residential on top of these box store with parking underground if possible in the flood area or another few floors on top of all of the surface parking. I can live with 3-6 storey here, since the area can support it in the first place.

No problem with the tall condos/apartments.

Otherwise, the project is find for this area.
 
Bike Zone is moving from the old factory and For Lease signs have since been posted along Lakeshore...the demolition could be starting shortly...more to come.

There is a pre OMB hearing schedule for this week at City Hall.
