Members of the Weston community along with their councillor spoke out this week at Etobicoke York Community Council in support of a proposal for an 18-storey mixed-use building on the Cruickshank Motors site, a longtime fixture in Weston.
Councillors voted unanimously Tuesday, Jan. 10 in favour of the "rejuvenating" development that will see the construction of both residential and commercial ventures within a five-storey podium and 13-storey tower at 2062 and 2070 Weston Rd. The development is pegged to contain approximately 204 residential units, and will retain the Cruickshank Motors presence on the site in the form of a sales office on the ground floor.
