During the journey, you can get on with your work, or sit back and enjoy the speed and the luxury. This service will be yours for a fare which is comparable to the prices of present day’s public transport.” This is not a dream, but a concept that formed the starting point for the development of Superbus as an innovative alternative for today’s personal mobility.

Superbus is a new concept for sustainable mobility, which consists of a new vehicle, new type of dedicated infrastructure and new logistics. For this new concept, all of the intelligence and innovation is put into the vehicle, whereas the dedicated infrastructure, where the Superbus runs at 250 km/h, is made of relatively cheap concrete roads. Superbus is 15 meters long and provides seating for 23 passengers. In order to improve comfort and to allow individuality, it has 8 doors per side.

Superbus does not have a fixed schedule and the logistics allow for flexibility in high volume transport on demand, via a central routing optimization system. Thus the vehicle transports passengers from target to destination without the need for changeovers. The design of Superbus has been developed around some key themes. Superbus is safe due to obstacle detection systems (through radar equipment and a fast responding electronic guidance system), high maneuverability and formidable breaking power.

It doesn't appear to say how direct your journey will be. If everyone in your bus is getting on where they like and getting off where they like, there might be a lot of stops between where you get on and your destination.
Is the idea that you would use it for long distance travel -- for example, it would drive around Markham picking up 23 people and then get on the highway to Montreal, driving around Montreal when it arrives to drop each person off where they want? I suppose that might work.
If you want go to Pembroke, though, do you have to wait until there are 20 other people who want to go to Pembroke? I wouldn't want to have to drop someone off in Pembroke on the way to Montreal.

It appears to have a door for each passenger seat. With 16 doors, where do the other 7 passengers sit?

Looks like a public limo more than anything....

This might happen when public transit wants to compete with luxury taxi services. Having a public limousine would change the perception of public transit by attracting the rich.

What's the use of a 16-seater bus that can go 250 km/h and has to stop at traffic lights?
