As Hong Kong's MTR begins construction on five new subway/rail projects (West Island Line, South Island Line, Shatin to Central Link, Kwun Tong Line Extension and the HSR line to Guangzhou), it has put out a nostalgia-filled TV commercial apologizing for all the inconvenience its subway construction projects have caused since 1975...

The commercial has been heavily spoofed. Here's one where MTR 'apologizes' for a very rare but very serious service stoppage due to a 'power out situation'...
