Not dead yet. From urbanation:

Milborne Real Estate and Montana Steele Advertising helping relaunch 8 Mercer as "The Mercer", register now at www.themercer.ca. 5 minutes ago via web

Looks like they're refocusing on twenty-thirty something women; or guys like me that love them (in mini skirts and heels no less.:)) It's working for me Montana Steele.

"Condos from the mid $200,000s"

It's great that one of the 'Where did you hear about us?' options was urbantoronto.ca :)

Those are horribly priced units, yet again...and in a market with the brakes firmly pressed down. Unbelievable how stupid some of these developers are. I guess when they shut the sales centre again for a second time, they'll have learned their lesson. The only reason the Ritz sold, was the name, and these people think they can replicate. Dummies.

I agree, the first time I visited their sales office (before they reworked their marketing and building) I thought it was a very mediocre building with not much views, and the prices were extremely steep considering the finishes were not very inspiring nor high end enough. Doesn't seem like they know their competition.
I noticed they taken down their website again (it's just the intro page).

Mercy, mercy me... redesign and repricing it needs to be...

This project had failure written all over it the minute it was launched. This one won't be getting built.

true, but i think they know their target market ...
female urban professionals, 25-40 yrs old, who 'have to have it', like 'bling',
buy things on emotion rather than fiscal viability.

It's interesting to read the posts almost 4 years later. Prices are still high IMO and views in most units are mediocre but the finishes seem to be pretty nice. I still don't see how this building separates itself from the others in the area.

Just went to view some units with clients. Finishes are very good compared to other buildings nearby. Also some well laid out units. Thumbs up for the most part. Can't wait to see the finished product also like the size of the building and views are nice tucked away from King st. Low south floors on the other hand aren't worth it.
