Just a little tribute to Toronto's eclectic set of street signage before many are converted over to those new Astral Media signs. I think these are most of them, at least from what I've captured over the past 10 years or so (I know I'm missing some older ones from before I moved here, like the old St. Lawrence sign, etc.)...

Please add any others!

Wonderful collection, EVCco!
Let's hope it will be preserved for future historians.

Here's what I discovered while exploring the "Ben Jungle" neighbourhood in Scarborough:

YES! Gotta love Bendale!

Speaking of which, I always wondered though why established Scarborough neighbourhoods like Bendale, Woburn, Agincourt, etc. never got proper nameplated neighbourhood signs, while weird places like "Goldhawk" and "C.D. Farquharson" did

excellent post EVCco! i had no idea there were that many variants...

i like the Gilbert and George style ones....

At the intersection of Sunnyside Avenue and Wright Avenue, between High Park and Roncesvalles Avenue, one will still see (at least for a short time) three generations of street signs. A new street sign design, the beloved old city of Toronto street sign, and an ancient street sign that is still on the outside brick wall of a house.

You need a dance themed one, just for the purpose of including Disco Road.

Awesome - I've actually been looking for just such a situation!

Already ahead of you there! ~ well, kind of..

I also have a pic of "Tempo Avenue," but when I went to add "Vibe Road" to my collection the sign wasn't there at all (which happens quite frequently and frustratingly). So I kind of got discouraged and gave up on that one for a while. If its back up, someone let me know! If I recall correctly it's out in Etobicoke off the Queensway somwhere.
