It's a bit close to the railway line, but the surroundings are otherwise not too bad. A park is across the street, and the elementary school is within a short walk. A small plaza is nearby.

The preview appointments are this weekend.

Yikes! Just saw the floor plans. There are to be 180 units on only four levels. Two levels x 44 units and two levels x 46 units. The corridors will be probably the longest I have ever seen in a residentail building! I had expected this to be maybe 8 to 10 storeys, which would not have been out of character to the neighbourhood.

I have to assume they are planning to use wood framing and therefore keeping it low.

Condo fees are being quoted at only 26 cents per square foot, which seems a bit low these days. I can anticipate those being raised quickly.

The current zoning only permits a maximum number of units and specific height. And yes, wood frame construction limits 4-storeys in building height. The corridors are a little longer than average, but the elevators are central.

Parkside living in Mississauga

Last Updated: July 23, 2010 2:49pm

Last weekend, VANDYK Group of Companies celebrated the grand opening of Park 570, a new condominium community nestled amongst the labyrinth of parklands in the Mississauga Valley.

With more than half of suites sold after opening weekend, Park 570 has generated a lot of excitement in the condo market. Unique architecture, high-end finishes, a great location, excellent prices and the superior standards of a VANDYK home, together, make this residence one of the hottest addresses in the city.

“Park 570 is the first of its kind in the GTA,” says Maurice Lelli, director of corporate marketing for VANDYK Group of Companies. “The building’s architecture is influenced by the designs of Frank Lloyd Wright and it has a west coast look, which is very popular in B.C. The surrounding neighbourhood is well established with ample amenities, so it’s a very convenient location.”

The four-storey, 180-unit building is finished in stone, stucco and special composite siding. The three-storey entrance has a stone feature wall and there is a roof top terrace for entertaining or relaxing. Other on-site amenities include a fitness centre, with state-of-the-art equipment, a lounge/party room with a fireplace and full size bar, and a lovely courtyard with park benches and modern lamp posts.

Purchasers at Park 570 can choose from 12 different floor plans that range from 572 sq. ft. to 1,040 sq. ft. Prices start at $179,990 and include a storage locker and one parking space. All suites come with balconies with natural gas BBQ connections, and corner suites feature wrap around balconies.

As a builder that started in the custom home market, VANDYK incorporates high-end features and finishes for all projects. Park 570 suites have 9-foot ceilings, imported ceramic tile flooring, soaker tubs, and gourmet kitchens with halogen lighting and extended uppers for kitchen cabinetry.

A grand opening bonus package includes granite counter top and three stainless steel appliances in the kitchen, plank laminate flooring in the living/dining rooms, full-size stackable washer and dryer, and a Rogers VIP Bundle that offers free phone, cable and Internet for six months.

Ideally located at Cawthra Rd. and Dundas St. W., Park 570 is conveniently close to Highways 403, 427 and the QEW. Residents have easy access to public transit and both the Dixie and Cooksville GO Stations are nearby.

The community’s central location is within minutes of downtown Mississauga, as well as Square One, Sherway Gardens and Mississauga Chinese Centre. Surrounded by plenty of greenspace, Park 570 is right next to a park with a 10-km walking, biking and jogging trail that connects to other parks in the area.

“A lot of our homebuyers have grown up in the area and want to continue to live here,” Lelli says. “They love the building and the prices of suites, which are $60 to $70 per sq. ft. less than a comparable condo in downtown Mississauga.

Some buyers want the maintenance-free lifestyle of condo living, but they don’t want to live in a high-rise. Park 570 really appeals to this segment of the market.”
