It's time to revive an old favourite from UT's bag of tricks: a retooling of Archivist's Predict the Year Competition. With such a lively return to the condo market, with various tourist attractions being proposed, with lots of transit plans being tossed around these days, with the Pan-Am Games on the horizon, and with a lame duck Mayor in office, this should be an interesting year for Toronto - so - put on your thinking cap, and show UT how clear your crystal ball is and that YOU know more and can predict better than anyone else!

1) Tallest new announced building in the GTA (projects currently being speculated upon are fair game, but go off the boards too!).
2) Biggest GTA transportation announcement of the year (committed dollars).
3) Most acclaimed completed GTA condo of 2010.
4) Most acclaimed completed other GTA building of 2010.
5) Current GTA project that you feel many people think will fail, but which you think will start construction 2010.
6) Current GTA project that is proposed to start construction in 2010, but which never gets underway.
7) Predict who will run for mayor in the Toronto Municipal Election of October 25, 2010. (No points for the already declared George Smitherman and Rocco Rossi.)
8) Predict who will win the Toronto mayoral election. (Bonus points for other GTA races.)

Two more subjective Bonus Questions:
9) Toronto's "it" place during Summer 2010.
10) Biggest surprise for Toronto in 2010 (go crazy!).

Announcement concerning the winners will be made as 2011 approaches.

Please quote the post below and add in your answers. Elaborate where you like!
