Family Emergency Shelters in Toronto

My wife and I are thinking of donating to a family emergency shelter in Toronto. I've heard of the Red Door Shelter http://www.reddoorshelter.ca. Can someone please recommend other family shelters in Toronto we can consider supporting? Thanks.

Nellies or Nelly's (SP?) on Queen street east is a good shelter for abused mothers/children.

They run a drop in centre for hungry kids and have numerous secret shelters scattered around the area to help abused mothers escape and get back on their feet. My wife and I donate, clothing, toys, books and the occasional afternoon when they are doing fund raising to this great shelter.
