Corktown District Phase 2 (Streetcar, 8s, Quadrangle)

    1. No. This building is going up the full 8 floors as planned. Sumach was reduced due to neighbourhood concerns 3. Not at all accurate. I bought in Phase I and had our move-in date changed numerous times. It changed 3 times within 30 days of occupancy.

Do you know when the community consult on this project is? I live a block away and haven't seen or heard anything about it.

Abode Lofts Condos (Urban Fabric Developments) - Real Estate -

Wondering if that development is this project? No details other than the name. http://showcaseliving.ca/

Corktown District (King & Sumach, Streetcar, to 6s, Quadrangle)

Has anyone heard when these buildings are supposed to be registered? It seems to be taking forever!

Lofts on DeGrassi Park (Queen East/ DeGrassi St., Zen Homes, 4s, ATA)

not to mention the GO trains practically running through your backyard.

Riverside Towns (was Leslieville Lofts, Hyde Pk/Lamb Dev, 140-162 Broadview, 3s, ?)COMPLETE

Maybe the fugliness of this new incarnation is his f-you to the neighbourhood that fought his plans for Leslieville Lofts. Wouldn't put it past him.

Corktown District Condos (Streetcar) - Real Estate -

Finally took possession of our unit yesterday. Generally, I'm quite happy with how it turned out, although it seems slightly smaller than I had imagined it all these years of waiting. Mostly minor deficiencies to report, some of which have already been taken care of. My few gripes about...

Corktown District Condos (Streetcar) - Real Estate -

We just received notice today that our occupancy on a 6th floor unit has now been delayed to from August 18th to September 3rd (the third delay since we received our final occupancy notice). Streetcar's reasoning is that the structural roof detailing is taking longer than originally expected...

Corktown District Condos (Streetcar) - Real Estate -

Thanks for sharing your experiences with Corktown so far. We take possession at 549 on the 18th, but our PDI has been pushed back to the 17th! I went by the building today and it looks as though they haven't even started drywalling on the 6th floor yet (which is where our unit is). I'm...

Toronto St Lawrence Market North | 25.3m | 5s | City of Toronto | Rogers Stirk Harbour

Different strokes for different folks I guess. Orange, which is getting lots of love here, is one of my LEAST favourite designs (blue is the absolute worst IMO). I find orange entirely too institutional looking on the ground level and hideous on the exterior. I much prefer green or red...

Corktown District Condos (Streetcar) - Real Estate -

Walked by the development last night. It looks as though the lower floors of 569 might be ready for occupancies: drywall complete, lighting fixtures installed as well as kitchens. 52 Sumach is also getting closer to completion although exterior brickwork and some cladding still needs doing...

    Toronto Sync Lofts Condos | ?m | 8s | Streetcar | TACT Architecture

I think there are very few builders/developers who don't use drywall inside their buildings. My previous condo was built that way (Kings Court) and I never had sound issues. Now live across the street from Printing Factory Lofts and drywall is all that separate those units. Unless you're in a...

Howdy future neighbour! 1. Queen streetcar takes anywhere from 15-20 minutes from Carlaw to Yonge depending on traffic. I go as far as Spadina and it's about 25-40 minutes. 2. Apparently. That Shopper's has been a blight on the 'hood for over 10 yrs. I believe it's "owned and operated"...

Keep it down wouldja? My house is right across the street! ;) Seriously though, good news about the end of September occupancy (I'm personally looking forward to and end to the noise and dust). As of this morning, windows have been installed up to the 7th floor, about half of the courtyard...

INCENTIVES - Condo builders roll out the barrel

Timing IS everything. Pity us buyers who purchased prior to the market slowdown. A condo my partner and I bought 2 years ago and is now in the process of being built is offering free parking and locker (a $30M value) to move the remaining units. I'd love to call the developer to complain and...

LOL. I think you've made a great decision to purchase in TPF. The building is coming together nicely and values in the neighbourhood will only go up. Wise investment I'd say. BTW, I've lived in a condo with drywall only and never had a noise problem.

Drywall is being used in the tower portion. Loads of it are being delivered on an almost daily basis.

    Toronto East Lofts Condos | ?m | 12s | Harhay | a—A

I wouldn't count on it - developers pay a pitiful interest rate on deposits.

I think it's the 4th floor they're pouring. From the plans, it appears that the courtyard will be raised from street level and will line up to the first floor in your pic with the columns. If you look closely, you can see rebar sticking from the floor of the first level which will support the...
