well if theyre negotiating now, perhaps a contract award by years end and then 2 to 3 years for the first trainset to arrive. perhaps the initial operations by end of 2027/8

so theyre once again stalling... 6 years of further study and design. that means we wont see any construction until at the very least the end of the decade.... 😒

uhhh.. the delays are not on the overland but on the buried sections a la eglinton station. i can guarantee you that the costs wouldve been at least a quarter billion more to bury the rest of the ECT, not to mention another 2 years. they can probably do a better job with the OCS but this part...

the condition of the vehicles are really down to the individuals who service them. i still blame the organization for putting them into that situation where they are obliged to maintain these relics.

I wonder if the 90 operators and the 20 trainers can be trained to operate together at the same time and then the 20 do additional instructor training? I have feeling this may be a big bottleneck at the home stretch, especially if version 7 of the software is unsuccessful
