The train is already express. It's literally in the name.

As a regular rider of UP and a huge fan of the train both as a commuter and flyer, I'm extremely angry by this move. Actively makes the service worse for a ton of people for a negligible benefit.

I don't mind the type of cladding they're using (cause I don't have to live there).... ...but why that color? Looks awful.

Definitely disappointing but don't think it dampers my excitement too much.

I really would not call the Yonge line "underbuilt"

With this attitude, much of old toronto would be covered with expressways. Public consultation (and even just the planning in general) is practically pennies compared to the cost of construction. Cutting it would not save anything meaningful except time. Yes, we should value the experts...

Honorific line names are fine during planning and construction but should be named after the corridors they follow once construction is complete. They're doing this backwards.

I live right next to the Gardiner and GO line. The highway is basically imperceptible when inside, but it does make our balcony kind of pointless. The trains we hear, but it's honestly a non-issue, and frankly I like seeing them go by. Maybe a building built along the Barrie GO line doesn't...
