Your experiences with the 2010 Museum subway diversion (May 22–25, Aug 14-15)

Here's a tweet from someone who was at Museum station: http://twitter.com/taimurmohammad/statuses/14498976398 and the photo: http://tweetphoto.com/23477240 I don't agree with his description of ghetto, though. But yes, there seem to be visual aids. EnviroTO, you're right in that people don't...

    Metrolinx: Five-in-Ten Plan

Yes, hence this whole spectacle is just so underwhelming. And the five projects have some cuts to them, so even the number "5" is being generous. Yes, something will be better than nothing, but I'm so disappointed. Announcements mean nothing.

    TTC moving headquarters

I'm no fan of Smitherman, but people need to realize that Rob Ford's thoughts on AIDS and gay people are dangerous and based on lies. His belief that only gay men and drug users get AIDS and that women get AIDS if the men they sleep with are bisexual? Honestly, this scares me. Over the years...

    TTC moving headquarters

Note to Smitherman: Giambrone isn't running anymore. He's out. OK? And money is being spent on leasing. If the situation doesn't change, money will be spent on bringing the McBrien Building at Davisville to fire code. Why the hell not consolidate TTC management into one building? For example...

    Transit City Plan

Matt, it doesn't, but the thinking is that it terminates at Finch West subway station. This is disgusting. I'm going to have a fit. Truncated AND delayed lines? What the hell, man?

    TTC: Next Bus/Streetcar Arrival System

Hey GraphicMatt, great find! The bad part is that I don't have an iPhone, but I get Internet access on my phone. I thought that it was unfortunate that the rest of us mobile phone users would be left in the dark. Luckily, that NextBus site has a workaround. If I set my phone to go to...

    TTC Safety

I've pressed the Passenger Assistance Alarm strip while on the subway once. It was after a man had tripped and bashed his head into one of those plexiglas "decency panels" by the subway doors. One will hear (throughout the car, at least; I don't know about the rest of the train with the...

    saveoursubways (SOS)

Wow. nfitz correctly points out a fact that Steve Munro has been a member since at least August of 2008, and you decide to attack nfitz for simply doing so? Yes, if people can't be correct on certain facts, others will doubt what they have to say. It's used well in courts. What the hell does...

    Suddenly...Windmills! Millions of them!

Toronto Hydro Energy Services is constructing an anemometer in the lake: http://www.torontohydroenergy.com/generation_offshore.html But one should note from the web page:

    Toronto St. Clair West Transit Improvements | ?m | ?s | TTC

The 300 metres they refer to is the Gunns Loop and track just east of Gunns Road. I live at Old Weston Road and the track work is done from Lansdowne to Gunns. It's just the loop track to be done, the shelters at Old Weston and at Keele, and the overhead wiring from Caledonia westward.

    Toronto St. Clair West Transit Improvements | ?m | ?s | TTC

At this stage, I'm waiting for the west end of the line to finish. I'm still served by a bus. At least I have the 512 though; To visit my sisters who live by the intersection of Jane and St. Clair, I have to wait for the infrequent 71 bus. An extension of the 512 has to come as soon as possible...

    Toronto Council Races - 2010

It looks like Filion will be running again: http://app.toronto.ca/vote2010/findByName.do?lastName=all

    Transit City Gauge

The new streetcars are single-ended and only have doors on one side, hence they wouldn't work on the Transit City lines.

Rushton, The (743 St Clair Av W, Goldman / Lash, 9s)

I think the address of the lot should actually be 745 or 743 St. Clair Avenue West since Joe Mihevc's community office is at 747 next door.

    Toronto Aura at College Park | 271.87m | 78s | Canderel | Graziani + Corazza

Hey guys. I found this time-lapse video of the site on flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ethervizion/4251139641/ It's not mine, so give the credit where it's due.

    Toronto St. Clair West Transit Improvements | ?m | ?s | TTC

People don't care about dwell times when they're about to get off. With time people should learn to get off at the rear doors because of the prevalence of farside stops on the route, and in a few years the problem should hopefully be no more with all-door loading on streetcars. I think some of...

    Toronto St. Clair West Transit Improvements | ?m | ?s | TTC

Hello everyone. Long-time lurker, first-time poster here. I live right at St. Clair and Old Weston and have been watching the construction occur at my very challenging intersection and the subway/underpass to the west for the last few weeks. They could, but chances are they won't. Yes, buses...
