    Rob Ford's Toronto

Are you serious? Do you not see the irony? You not tolerating the "intolerant" is intolerance. In other words, you only tolerate those you agree with, which isn't really tolerance at all. Gay people already are 'tolerated', they're just not entirely 'affirmed.' Tolerance is a must...

    Rob Ford's Toronto

What does Caribana have to do with Pride? I'm sure there is enough lewd conduct at Caribana; though I'm not sure if there is barenakedness. I really doubt it. Lewd conduct at any event or place should be dealt with by the police. You know that will never happen at Pride, however, because...

    Rob Ford's Toronto

What a farce this world has become. The ironic thing is, those that approve of Pride will claim to be tolerant people; so long as you affirm their sexuality. Where is the tolerance for people with differing views? One isn't tolerant unless they accept the right for those they disagree with to...
  4. One Nut Kruk

    Rob Ford's Toronto

What he should have asked is, "How many lewd conduct charges are handed out at Pride?"

Toronto Toronto City Hall and Nathan Phillips Square | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | Perkins&Will

We already have a plethora of restaurants that meet your pretentious desires. There's nothing wrong with some American food here. The majority of the people that use the square probably don't have palettes that are as sophisticated as yours.

    Toronto Core Condos | 84.12m | 24s | CentreCourt | P + S / IBI

I'm a suburbanite, and I care about a pretty public realm. I'm definitely in the minority, however.

    Roads: Gardiner Expressway

Who cares if Jane Jacobs hated University Avenue? That doesn't mean you can't like it.
  8. One Nut Kruk

    Toronto L-Tower | 204.82m | 58s | Cityzen | Daniel Libeskind

I highly doubt that will happen. I don't think there will be any rooftop lighting either.

Toronto Pan Am Village in the West Don Lands | ?m | ?s | DundeeKilmer | KPMB

You're absolutely right about that. Why is this such a big problem in Toronto though? There was a time, not too long ago, where we actually cared about the way the city looked. What happened and when?

491 College St (former Latvian House, Allied & RioCan, 3s, Turner Fleischer)

Excellent. Another facade job for a heritage building. This better not go ahead.
  11. One Nut Kruk

    Toronto L-Tower | 204.82m | 58s | Cityzen | Daniel Libeskind

This tower just doesn't do it for me. The top of the south end of the tower was handled poorly, but the quality of glass and mullions is what ruins this one for me. This tower should have had Delta quality curtain wall, all around.

    Toronto Core Condos | 84.12m | 24s | CentreCourt | P + S / IBI

More people moving downtown doesn't necessarily mean, 'prettier public realm'. The suburbs have been growing for ages and still look like junk.

    Justin Trudeau?

You've proven yourself to be a useless contributor to this conversation. When asked for a serious answer, you resort to personality attacks. You know Trudeau is in the wrong, but you're too stubborn to admit it; thus you deflect the topic. Stay on point. Thanks for showing yourself as the...

    Justin Trudeau?

doug, you're like the Claude Lemieux of Urban Toronto; just trying to get under peoples skin. Too bad for you, I'm hip to your game. Why are you deflecting? You're smarter than that. What does Rob Ford have to do with Justin Trudeau? Why is this man not a journalist? Is it because he's...

Toronto Pan Am Village in the West Don Lands | ?m | ?s | DundeeKilmer | KPMB

We should just redo all our sidewalks with asphalt paving. That way whenever they need to be patched up, they'll look more uniform. Or maybe then they'd be patched with cement?
  16. One Nut Kruk

    Toronto Southcore Financial Centre & Delta Toronto | 159.71m | 45s | GWL | KPMB

Which is exactly why I don't want the Oxford buildings built in their proposed location. They would utterly ruin the presence of the CN Tower. It's baffling that such tall towers could possibly be approved that close to it.

    Toronto Dundas Square Gardens | 156.05m | 50s | Gupta | IBI Group

Why do people refer to crappy looking condos as "suburban?" They're just as common downtown.
