    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Look at what streetcars did to St. Clair and the waterfront. Completely destroyed the communities. I pray that not one single bit of Transit City is built. Do it right the first time or don't do it at all. Subways all the way, 100%. Tear up the whole transit city document.

    TCHC: Lawrence Heights Revitalization

We need someone to dismantle this out of control TCHC regime. Government should not be in the housing business, period.

    Toronto Bloor Street Revitalization | ?m | ?s | Bloor-Yorkville BIA | architectsAlliance

The main problem with debacles like this is that those in charge are never fired/penalized. On the contrary, they are usually given even bigger projects to screw up.

    Toronto Yonge Eglinton Centre | ?m | 37s | RioCan | P + S / IBI

I've lived in the area for 15 years and I have never once seen more than a handful of people in the actual part in the middle. Usually kids hanging out right at the corner but that's it. The only use for it has been cutting off a couple of seconds when walking from the corner to Dominion (now...

If the TTC works to rule I will be...

My point about "work to rule". I think they should all "work to rule" every day of their lives. Then if we decide the "rules" are not good (i.e. don't make sense), then they should be changed. I can never understand people that say workers should "break the rules" every day, and that "work to...

    Transit City Plan

with the implosion of Giambrione (I believe the next job lost will be his TTC position), I believe Transit City is in doubt now. It could be destroyed. Maybe there is hope for BRT after all.

    Live Theatre in Toronto

We got a taste of what the show will be like on the CityTV new year's eve show at City Hall. The guys sounded great, the female lead was just ok.

    Transit City Plan

Many of the Transit City billboards have been removed, replaced by generic TTC logo billboards (e.g. Millwood, O'Connor)

City orders condo developers to buy annual metropass for every unit

the main point is, the courts will decide on this illegal policy. Pretty much every condo development will refuse to buy into this, and the city can do absolutely nothing punitive to the developers, since the law is illegal in the first place.

    Homelessness and Panhandling in Toronto

The worst is seeing them sleeping in subway entrances or ATM rooms. TTC does not do a good job policing their entrances. I have seen, at Yonge and Eglinton (south east corner) people living in that stairwell to the subway, fairly regularly (looks like every day now). Either TTC is washing...

ok now you've got me salivating, quartz countertops...mmmm :)

Why do people care so much about granite counter tops?

They talk about them like they're sex or something. What's so good about granite that people actually make purchasing decisions based on them. If you really desire them so much can't you just rip out the current (crappy) counters and put in some new ones?

buying property along lakeshore/gardiner, the smell of sewage.

I've always wondered about Port Union (west Rouge) near Rouge Hill Go Station, can you smell the sewage from the highland Creek sewage treatment just west of there? http://www.toronto.ca/water/wastewater_treatment/treatment_plants/highland_creek/index.htm

    Davisville Village - thoughts?

Sales in Davisville Village, which I describe as the area between Eglinton/Davisville and Mt. Pleasant/Bayview, is hot. Semis are selling for high 600s now. How did prices get so out of control. The same could be had a few months ago for mid 500's. I've seen at least 3 properties in the past...

    Not a 24 Hour City

Yeah the 9am start for TTC trains on Sundays is pretty ridiculous. At least make it 6am like other days.

    Homelessness and Panhandling in Toronto

There's also people on the street by choice. They do not believe the homeless shelters are safe. Walk past metro hall and there's always someone sleeping on the grates. There are tons of empty spaces in the shelters but they choose not to stay in them. It appears that Toronto does not have a...

Ex-Ontario AG Bryant questioned in death of cyclist

I saw him taking the subway up to Yonge/Eg. They're putting his life on hold by continuing to push the date forward, for what? I don't get it.

City orders condo developers to buy annual metropass for every unit

Is the policy illegal? From my analysis, I believe it is. I am sure this will be thrown out in court even before it goes into effect.
