    Toronto Bay Adelaide Centre | 217.92m | 51s | Brookfield | KPMB

Um, the examples you have shown in london and new york are also bland and boring, a curve or an angle in a building doesnt make it anymore interesting. There is nothing wrong with boxes

    Supertall and near-Supertall Rumour/Speculation Thread

What is more interesting, is what "level" of construction of condos/multi unit residential is the apparent "boom" and what is the normal level of activity? If this was investigated then I suspect the outlook would or might be different

    Throw away buildings - CBC

I wouldnt blame the developers (they will build the cheapest product that they can, and it is up to the consumers to either say "hey ya this is something I want to buy" or "hey no this is shit and I refuse to buy this"), they see a market and then they will fill the market, it is the...

    Toronto 88 Scott Street | 203.9m | 58s | Concert | P + S / IBI

hahaha "conservative, stale designs" Personally I am very tired of meat grinder architecture in Toronto- If I was the developer of this project I would fire the architect- But then again we are dealing with a developer and a consumer who has no knowledge or consideration for what is good and...

I cant say exactly who or which Firm I base my information off of- but I will say that I saw the renderings for this project very recently- as of 1 month ago. And yes From what I was looking at and who I was talking to, Holts will be torn down and incorporated.

Toronto Pan Am Village in the West Don Lands | ?m | ?s | DundeeKilmer | KPMB

They are the Architect of Record- the real architects of the pan am village is TEN Arquitectos- which is amazing news, finally some good architectural standards. The worst thing would be for another standard Toronto Firm taking on such a large project perpetuating the so called bland "toronto...

Ok, um you are going to have to explain this to me... how is this his best work? Personally I think this building is one of the ugliest in the city- Its a post modern...

Speculating about a new start at 1 Bloor East

I completely agree, except one of the issues that plague this city is the citizens, we don't demand any better we are totally content with banality. Now on the topic of boxes dont get me started, for some reason on this forum and over at SC, people tend to think that a projects architectural...
