Toronto Yonge Sheppard Centre Renovations and Expansion | 123.13m | 35s | RioCan | BDP Quadrangle

I can't believe they didn't add direct access to the mall like the 3 Forest Laneway towers. Just looking into these units they seem to be very small, but I too would like to see the floorplans. Completion has been very slow here, perhaps a pandemic effect. A nice looking addition to the area.

O.K. Thanks. There is hope then.

Did they just fill the hole back in?

Could this be the start? They are putting fencing around the old sales office and there are workers inside. Looks like demolition of that at least is about to begin.

    Toronto Emerald Park Condos | 128.92m | 40s | Bazis | Rosario Varacalli

One of the Emerald Park tenants told me today that the LCBO was opening in late September or early October and that there would be a supermarket also, though not necessarily Metro. Has anyone heard about any of this. She seemed quite excited about the prospect of more business.

I don't think that the rents have been determined yet. The units will be quite small compared to the fairly spacious ones at 2, 4 and 6 Forest Laneway and they will of course have all the bells and whistles in terms of appliances etc. I don't think you can really compare these buildings despite...

You are both right concerning the townhouses. They were rebuilt from older, empty ones, but they were used to house tenants from the townhouses on Greenfield which were demolished.

This makes no sense. A major highway with a subway and just steps from a subway entrance. Should be a super highrise.

The "testy" thing is really just heresay. Once I suggested to our superintendents that it would be a good idea to tile the pillars in the walkway to the mall because kids keep smashing holes in the drywall and in time I thought it would pay for itself in terms of less repairs and it would look...

Kin Kin Bakery opened today. It's packed and looks quite good.

The three apartment towers are not owned by RioCan but a separate entity Axes Investments. Their relationship seems a little testy at times. Yes the windows really do need replacing. I'm in building 2 facing East. Even with central air I'm dreading the coming heatwave.

Does anyone have any idea how this project is doing? Every time I go past the sales office it seems to be closed. Not sure how they are going to sell any condos that way.

As a resident of 2 Forest Laneway I have been watching this redevelopment with great interest. Looking at the floor plans there are quite a number of stores which are still available to lease and there are no clothing stores so far. The spaces are of various size, but nothing large enough to...

    Toronto Pearl Place | 121m | 34s | Conservatory Group | Richmond Architects

I noticed yesterday that the old site office for the previous Pearl buildings at the corner of Yonge and Hollywood has been cleared out. I'm assuming they will use this office space for the new building. While the sales office doesn't seem busy, I've seen several people coming out with...

The Chez Laurent restaurant is closed and boarded up ready for demolition. Maybe this is a sign of things to come.

The plans have changed now. The condo tower is going to be a rental building.

Could these subway entrances possibly be more sterile? This is so Toronto.

Confused by previous two posts. I walked past the buildings last night and both towers have a few occupants. At first I thought they had just left the lights on but there was furniture, pictures and people. (Even an energetic couple trying out their new bed with the drapes open). I think that...

Everyone has an opinion and some of them are quite strong. Doesn't make them right or wrong. What is wrong is when the conversation isn't civil. Be nice people.
