    Toronto 245 Queen Street East | 94.3m | 25s | ONE Properties | Graziani + Corazza

The excavation on the north side of Richmond next to Downtown Ford is likely for a sales centre. It has been suspended while the old timber drains which were uncovered during excavation are examined. Anything to do with the old Taddle creek which ran along Britain Street towards this site?

    Restaurant Comings & Goings

The Richmond Rogue at the north west corner of Richmond and Sherbourne (west of Stonecutters Lane) has been closed for a while). The hand lettered sign in the window sites repairs from water damage. Doesn't seem to be any activity.

Request for comments: panhandling in Toronto

An interesting panhandling incident. I was on my bike at Sherbourne and Dundas. A short, thin woman I had seen approaching cars for change went to the car beside me. The female driver rummaged through her purse and console and handed the panhandler a fistful of change. She then drove off as the...

Dumpster Diving In City Trash Bins

In my neighbourhood "the poor folk" dump the bin out on the sidewalk to find returnables. Often they leave it that way.

    Toronto St Lawrence Condos at 158 Front | 91.44m | 26s | Cityzen | a—A

When they drill into the surrounding property and insert shoring cables to keep the wall from collapsing inward: what is this process called? what keeps the cable from pulling out? do they need permission from the adjacent property owner? if there is a building adjacent do they drill below it...

    Premier Doug Ford's Ontario

"Aren't the safe injection sites municipal jurisdiction? So, just like with the CBC comments, Doug has no idea what a premier does." Thanks for the reference. It's federally approved. In Canada, legal operation of a supervised injection service requires an exemption under Section 56 of the...

    Premier Doug Ford's Ontario

Ontario Tory Leader Doug Ford says he’s ‘dead against’ supervised-injection sites. He has our votes. The "safe injection trailer/hangout" is across the street from us in Moss Park. "Go Dougie!"

Looks like Good For Life (GFL) who have been dealing with garbage are now into shoring with all new equipment.

Moss Park / Queen & Sherbourne

The somewhat old rumor at City Hall is that the community centre redevelopment is dead or at least in difficulty. The community consultation was last summer and if I recall the timeline correctly was supposed to be approved by Council by now. Anyone have info?

    The Toronto Islands

You would need much more population than another 1500 to support a school. As well I believe the majority of the current population is beyond the child rearing stage. The current Island Natural Science School built some years ago at a cost of over 10M has plenty of room.

The 2 windows and glass block on the adjacent building to the east are being covered. Guess they were illegal?

Makes sense to to have the Sears Office connected to the warehouse.

Rather than buy the business the property negotiator for the City said to Greenaways "We are putting in an underpass so you won't have access out the front main floor any more. We'll give you a basement entrance to the new sidewalk and you can still ship your Flour, Feed and Potatoes out the rear."
