    Toronto East Harbour Transit Hub | 14.35m | 1s | Metrolinx | Metrolinx

I can't believe we're bungling these once-in-a-generation opportunities so badly.

Can't say I'm impressed. I realize these are preliminary, but they rarely improve. Too bad the Unilever soap factor is almost gone.

    Nuit Blanche

Anyone check it out this year?

This is absurd. We're now waiting for an update for an update.

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

I'm sorry I missed this farewell. I always enjoyed using the RT and found it very underappreciated.

    Toronto Ontario Place | ?m | ?s | Infrastructure ON

These new plans look great as renderings, but I'm not sure how it'll all work practically. How much of the new park space is actually usable, and what will it be used for? Curious to see more details.

    2023 Ontario Liberal Leadership Race

Agreed. Not sure she'd be the best choice from a policy perspective, but she seems to be the most electable candidate the Liberals have had in years.

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

This was one of the key arguments for the SSE (on the forum) - the injustice of a transfer, having to move up and down different levels. It's a fact of life people who use the subway/transit in the city. I can't believe how poorly planned this all has been. It's like the SSE had a certain...

    Toronto Maple Leafs

He challenged for goalie interference, so it wasn't a challenge on the same thing. I understand the frustration, but I also understand why he did it - to let the team know he has their backs, and is doing everything possible to give them a shot. In hindsight not a great move, but maybe what...

    Toronto Rogers Centre Renovations | ?m | ?s | Toronto Blue Jays | Populous

The renovations and new spaces seem to be getting rave reviews. Looking forward to seeing it all in person. I still find it hard to believe after all the phases are complete this place will have only a decade or so of life left in it.

    Toronto Ontario Place | ?m | ?s | Infrastructure ON

I listened to the conference and chuckled when Ford said (paraphrased) 'I have such fond memories of visiting Ontario Place, when our family would dock our boat...' So relatable. Always looking out for the little guy. 👍

This really puts things in perspective. The spa takes up such a large portion of the available space.

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

He said "the southern extension". The original DRL was entirely a 'southern extension' so what else would he be referring to? His previous commentary highlighted that section for criticism.

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

I'm pretty sure he's not calling for the project to be cancelled, but the southern portion west of Osgoode. As for the cost, is it any surprise? This and the Scarborough extension will likely be many billions more than initially quoted.

Is this the first we're hearing of it?

    Toronto St Lawrence Centre Redevelopment | ?m | ?s | CreateTO | Hariri Pontarini

It's in some ways unfortunate Toronto 'came of age' when it did. If those St. Lawrence buildings were repurposed I think we'd have a historic district that would rival anything in North America. As for the winning submission, I'm happy with it. Overall should really enhance the area.

I prefer most of that area's predecessors to what replaced them.

Thank you for sharing all of this. So much nostalgia.

    Nordstrom

This doesn't surprise me. I initially found the stores interesting to walk through (out of curiosity), but I never found the selection very compelling.

They all have merit, though I can't say any of them blow me away. Hariri Pontarini is probably the winner for me, with Brook McIlroy 2nd. The Diamond & Schmitt proposal does intrigue me, even though it doesn't relate well to the original building.
