    Has Political Correctness Destroyed Britain?

I don't understand why political correctness is considered a bad thing. Cooool, it was political correctness that stopped civil people calling you "a fag". Protection for minorities owes a lot to political correctness.

    Toronto is Junky!

Which, once more, begs the question, what type of pathetic life are you living that keeps you in such a pathetic place? And also what brings you to a Urban Toronto to share such a lack of imagination constructiveness?

Toronto has the worst average commute in the world

This same report also called us the fourth most prosperous. Just putting that out there.

    Transit City Plan

He's kinda funny in a way. Each of his soliloquies have funny tidbits like "Forcing the elderly to hike uphill" I lol'd, not gonna lie. Kinda like Toronto's transit equivalent to US "death panels". Or things like "satisfy the vanity"... that's a good one too. I should compile a list.

Salon: "Tea Partiers as the new Hippies"

^ Nope, Glen's just as anti-gay as the rest of them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xq2kLf1NXt8

    "Urban" vs. "suburban"

^ Well, as a Leasider and a self proclaimed fan of David Miller, I say with all truthfulness that Jane Pitfeild was an excellent councilor and did many things for the community. She was very well liked here, and there was a reason for that. It was kinda understandable that she won the vote here.

^ Seems to me like Europe must either live with kids with foreign heritage, or with no kids at all, a choice Canada has had to make. ... Or they could be like Japan and not let in anyone... but that a ticking time bomb. The demographics in Japan are very bizzare and I fear that that country...

    Frequent helicopter noise

About Paris... A) for a city of its size and stature, it has a shockingly boring nightlife. The streets are pretty dead at night compared to Toronto. Things stay pretty quiet, except for... B) I found sleeping in Paris a lot harder than here. I don't know how many people know of those...

    Harper Proroguing Parliament again

In that case, perhaps Jean Chretien should take a bow? He was Prime Minister when Vancouver was awarded the games. ;) I fail to see why Stephen Harper is a better prime minister because of the number of medals that are handed out at the games. Should he be given the credit too when any...

    Creationism vs Evolution

I'd like to have a discussion. I really would. But that's not going to happen. Not here. This place will be always one sided, so why does the religion thread appear every three months? I'm not even going to bother to argue here. I shared my opinions and I'll have to leave it at that. I can't...

No, that's not what I meant at all. I'm just tired of useless complaining in our city. "The ROM's not as big as the Louvre :(". BOO-FREAKING-HOO. There is absolutely nothing wrong about wanting good things for the city. But the fact that somebody wants to build an aquarium and some people...

    Creationism vs Evolution

^ Wonderboy, And that is where I fundamentally disagree with you. Science may be anti-religious, but does that mean that religion should be anti-science? I think and hope not. Heck, science doesn't have to be anti-religious, either. I agree. But the beauty of the unknown can also be applied...

    Creationism vs Evolution

My personal beliefs in response to the original question posed are thus: I'm not blind: I see and have the needed knowledge to see the creation continually in progress. Evolution is fact, proved by steady science. The theories of natural selection do make sense and it is easy to see its role...

    Switzerland Minarets Laws

Because they banned Santa, we ban minarets? You do this, so I do that, even before you've don it. Oh God, where will this end? "An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind." - Mahatma Gandhi

"Mine's the biggest! Mine's the best!" I really hate these dick measuring contests. They tell you absolutely nothing about anything. All the people who say that something's only worth being built if it's the "#1 in the whole wide world!", must really not appreciate many things in their lives...

Tell me, when was is the last time a police officer ticked you for saying that? There is no state religion in Canada. There is a religion where the majority participates, but NO religion is a part of our government. It's a handy thing called the separation of church/mosque/temple/synagog etc...
