First time I've seen somebody onsite doing work for several weeks. Hopefully we will see more activity going forward.

Genuinely curious - blocking views of what? From anywhere except right on the waterfront, I'm too short to see the water from anywhere in TO now, and from the island looking towards land, I already just see a forest of buildings. Except for the CN Tower & Rogers Centre/SkyDome combo (which are arguably the most recognized bit), which buildings are you worried will be blocked?

It's more that these will become the face of the city for decades to come and they are very underwhelming and bland. Like a wall of mediocrity blocking out the old city from the lake. Personally I like the old skyline better, despite how desolate this area used to be.

The school is ready to go but it sits atop levels of underground parking for condo residents. What if the condo market remains bad for the next 5 years or more?

Not worth a photo update so I didnt bother taking a pic of this, but they are literally moving around dirt today around the south end of the site (by the south end of the site along the future Harbour St extension).

I don't know, but it could be a ground vibration monitor. Considering this is before excavation, they could be testing the soil. Along with the bore testing samples, where they collect samples of soil and bedrock.

The yellow tool you were seeing is a compaction tester there is a steak that is driven into the ground on the side of the machine that registers the density of the ground below
