    Toronto L-Tower | 204.82m | 58s | Cityzen | Daniel Libeskind

The crane remaining in place until the end of the summer (meaning, remaining in place until next year.....) is sooooooo weird. Major W T F moment. Anyway, I hope the people who bought units 'affected' by the crane have been compensated accordingly. So, basically, the developer 'forgot' to figure...

Toronto St Regis Toronto Hotel and Residences | 281.93m | 58s | JFC Capital | Zeidler

I have a rather clear view of the downtown skyline and that building from my sofa, and was staring at it the other night whilst watching TV and thought there's something different about the lights and then it just popped out, 'TRUM', and I thought, hahaa, the P's broken. And then the next night...

I'm not sure how long it's been illuminated, but the Trump sign has been lit for the last couple of days at least. I think yesterday the P was out, only Trum, but tonight it's Trump and it's good to see it finally.

I can't believe how sloooooooooow it's taking to finish up installing the windows up on the top floors. The progress since November has been minimal. First thought that pops up is that there's 'issues' with water and leaks, no? Build a curved wall/roof and expect no water leakage issues I guess...

    Toronto Wellesley on the Park | 194.15m | 60s | Lanterra | KPMB

The plot is probably worth way more than $60 million, which is way too much for the city to be forking over just so that a few park benches could be scattered about for crack-heads to covet. The plot is hardly 2 hectares, not what I would call prime park material, and definitely not to be paid...

    Toronto TeaHouse 501 Yonge Condominiums | 170.98m | 52s | Lanterra | a—A

I've got a sneaky feeling that there's only going to be 1 tower approved and it's going to be a lot shorter than 58 storeys. It's not the City's fault that the developers overpaid for the land and that the developers think that to justify their purchase price that they 'reckon' they'd have to...

    Toronto 365 Church Condos | 102.1m | 31s | Menkes | Wallman Architects

"Prior to the conclusion of this working group meeting Councillor Wong-Tam told the working group that a fourth session was being added and that the applicant was required to bring in the requested 15, 20 and 25-storey renderings of the proposed building for discussion. During the July 25th...

    Toronto Time and Space Condos | 101.8m | 29s | Pemberton | Wallman Architects

They paid a lot of that parcel of land, so they're going to have to get the biggest bang for their purchase price, and the city is going to play along, else off to the OMB we go. Rob Ford should be please as there are almost an extra 1000 cars going to be coming and going from this lot every...

    opinions please

Keep in mind that your maintenance fees will be a lot higher for all of that storage space which isn't really livable space. There are lots of hallways, too, and that dining/breakfast area ... it's not really big enough to have a table, but I guess you could stand up and eat a hotdog in there...

Where are the flat-fee MLS listing services?

I once sold my place to friends ... so the total cost involved was just the legal aspect of it, and we shared the same lawyer, so it was just, I recall, maybe $500 on my part, my friends same, plus land transfer tax for them. Anyway, sometimes it's possible to do a totally non-MLS/cheap...

    Market Crash, will rents rise?

In America, rents have gone up astronomically. But this only happened rather recently, considering their housing bubble got pricked in 2006, and the tsunami of foreclosures took soooooooooooooo looooooooooong to even start materializing, it's still materializing, and not really up to full...

Condo market slows down in GTA?

If you want to spend 750k on a 2bdrm condo in downtown Toronto, then I'd have to ask why bother buying a condo if you can easily get a 2bdrm freehold townhouse for the same price ? Shift a few blocks outside of 'downtown' Toronto and you can buy semi or detached properties with more than 2...

What to look for when considering re-sale value?

On resale, go for the best appealing location. You can purchase the best layout/view/whatnot in Regent Park, but on resale, you'd never be able to get the interest in it due to its perceived iffy location. Brightness is next, so south or south-west exposures, south-east if you don't mind...

    Baby, we got a bubble!?

Interested, I think AFTER Canada's housing bubble has been pricked will the federal government then start to consider tracking foreign investment/ownership in our housing stock. They've never had to before, previous bubbles that got pricked were totally domestically induced. But you would've...
