With this site's proximity to Billy Bishop Airport it strikes me that it would make sense to add a hotel portion to any inevitable condo to serve business travellers, etc. I also wonder if following that logic they would expand on the retail offerings as well by having a large retail component...
Rights to the residential component of the land redevelopment are being sold for $180-million to Tridel Builders Inc.

Just wondering if anyone had any info on the fountain that is being installed at Clarence Square Park on Spadina Ave? I walked past the park earlier today and noticed they have a section of the park fenced off due to to the installation of a fountain that was apparently donated.
This is what I posted on Sep. 30, 2014 Post#632.....So I suppose it does seem to be turning out to be true.....It would be great if it opened by 2016. It does seem as though there is quite a bit going on behind the scenes though. I was recently informed by someone at Concord (Cityplace) that...
Spectra Retail
Spectra has 5 or 6 retail units? Anyone know if any more are rented other than the Roses New York? A lot of retail potential there for Cityplace, actual retail spaces and not live/work units.

Apparently it is for sewer work, but I have seen them leveling the ground on the other (cityplace) side so I am hopeful. They put cement barriers, seems like a waste to have to close the street again at a future time when it is already closed and blocked off now.
Just in case anyone is interested to know, the Denny's will be opening up between 4/21 and 5/21/2014. This is the official response I received from the Denny's head office.

I live in the area and have a gym membership, despite having a decent gym as far as condos go. Its just not a big enough variety of equipment in my opinion. Condo gym's tend to just have basic machines.
