Will this building help the future CityPlace buildings (Spectra, Quartz, etc) in terms of the vibrancy or excitement of the materials? I think CityPlace looks handsome.. and the TCHC is something that could only help improve on the future development of the neighbourhood.

I find CityPlace to be very handsome. Personally, I think Concord wants their Signature Tower.. to be a Signature Tower. Which is why we have seen all the towers in CityPlace have a certain aesthetic.

This proposal can be worrying.. but I think its good to look at some of the deeper things about the waterfront: (1) WT has built a good standard of design. Sugar Beach and Sherbourne Common are a great precedence to have on the waterfront. People bring life to those projects. (2) CNE and...

I just got back from the Netherlands like 2 weeks ago. Rotterdam is an architect's playground, it was interesting.

Ford isn't the brightest Mayor Toronto has had... but I don't think he will stand in the way of this at all. Look at the team, 3 developers, 3 architecture firms and Claude! This development will definitely stand as a precedent for the rest of the Lower Don Lands.

This factory won't change a thing. For all we know there could be a functional reason that the factory must stay there. Maybe they aren't getting the price they want for their property yet. Or what if the land is contaminated.. many developers don't want to pay anymore than they need for a piece...
