Hey Tim. That's great news! I do miss living there. I hope everything gets sorted out as it is a gorgeous building and community. But considering the Strip club/Hotel down the road sold for a killing, it won't hurt to have that option if it ever comes to it
I wonder how much the lot sold for. I was a board member at the lofts next door. It's a massive lot, but the building needs work. It would probably make sense for the loft owners to sell to a developer assuming the price is right.
That area is really hot now. Resale 1 bedroom Fuse Condos are selling in the Mid 500K compared to Low 400K Last year. It's going to be tough to use that deposit to buy anything really.
In any case it seems to be a successful launch and construction is underway. Freed is launching another project on Dupont, east of Christie.
Dupont seems to be the place to invest now.
Quoting an old message but thought to share my experience so far (I have now lived 6 months in this condo complex)
Good
+ Grocery store (and Shoppers Drug-mart)- Great Prices, great produce, always stocked with goods, Wine and Beer selections and open late
+ Rooftop Garden - Unbelievable space...
I'm curious as well because my understanding is that a lot of the king west condos are poorly developed by freed. Weren't they sued by one of the condo Corperations.
Galleria is backed by great architects. Don't really know much about Elad but all GTA developers are shitty except for Tridel and...
If the ceiling is exposed concrete it's fine that you see crack. It's very common. Dry wall tends to have fine crack near the edges , also fine.
Homeownership can be stressful and cause some OCD. Best you don't sweat the little stuff and just enjoy the ride.
Give the building 3-5 yrs to mature.
this would look fine if they stick with the black and not go with the grey like they did with fuse 1 and 2. Seems unusually large project for rentals. Any idea when this will be approved and construction to start?
