    Transit Fantasy Maps

I haven't posted my map in a while, here it is again with a few updates, Technically this design is just expansions of existing subway lines, no new lines ;) also with this design, only 1 new light rail line .

iPhone/iPad app for TTC beta testing

Very cool, I made a simple WAP one a few years ago, and never updated it. :) I think the ttc site changed and I didn't bother to update the website scraper I wrote to grab all the data. this is what I needed :)

A continuation of Eglinton Crosstown LRT. From the Airport down to Renforth, then across Eglinton Ave W to Hurontario, then down to Square One Shopping Centre, then across Burnhamthorpe to Erindale GO Station.

    Transit Fantasy Maps

yeah, that'd be good, but I don't think they'd fit on my map with all the station names in the way. I guess I could make a transparent gif image of the GO system to overlay over the whole map when clicking a "Show GO" button on the Flash plans. Yup, it's one big loop :) I discovered that...

    Transit Fantasy Maps

Glad to see this thread still going strong, I updated my map a bit, Added the Morningside/Malvern tracks, and the Malton GO station, also added a few new features to the Flash map, Right click and rename stations and legend labels, Right click and choose track colour, a Save PNG...

    Eglinton-Crosstown Corridor Debate

I think there's too many stops, the number of stops could probably be cut in half at least, maybe just have a stop wherever there's an intersecting bus line. How fast are these things going to go? whatever it is, it probably should be doubled at least. This page says 22km/hr?, Why isn't...

    TTC: Stations that Need Improvements

Every station needs a public washroom, and the ones that do have them, they need to be cleaned regularly, and expanded. at least 5 urinals + 5 bowls for the men, and 10 bowls for the ladies, each station. thoroughly cleaned or checked by janitorial staff every 15 minutes.

Time for a tunnel to airport island?

There should be a streetcar that goes from union to the island airport, crossing on a bridge. most of the route would be reuse of the 509 tracks. and could be an extra fare route.

Region has a transit plan, now what about money?

When the government announced the 50 billion deficit like it was no big deal, the first thing that came to my mind was all of our ttc fantasy maps, and how resisters claim our plans would cost too much, or there's no money, the country will collapse, $50B is unrealistic etc. so, there seems to...

    Transit Fantasy Maps

That Dundas line does look more centred and balanced on the map, a drl should go through the downtown like this, not around the edges, avoiding downtown as much as possible, like some plans have it. ;) Thanks for sharing this map with us, I like it. Has anyone else been sending their maps to...

    TTC's Fancy New Technologies Thread

I made a TTC schedules app for wireless devices a while ago, just for fun. I haven't run my web crawler program to extract the data from the TTC web site and update my database in a few months though. :o If only I could get access to that new GPS database, now that would be fun ;)

    TTC's subway NOT very impressive

Didn't Toronto get points for historical value? because the system is so similar to what it was decades ago, riding it is like going back in time :)

    Laurier Campus in Milton

Gas will soar to $2.25 in 2012, economist projects I wonder if Milton real estate companies will attach this article to the sales brochure, for all potential buyers of their new car-oriented urban sprawl homes. :)
