Regarding the 407East. The province said the highway will be tolled, but does anyone know if it includes the West and East Durham Links. Is there any articles that may say either way?

Very true. I like to think that it's because of people taking vacation in the summer. That's always what I blame it on.

I'm not from Toronto, so I'm wondering what the benefits are of ending the Allen at Lawrence instead of it currently ending at Eglinton? I'm guessing that less people with use it since it's so short so less people will be exiting at Lawrence then currently at Eglinton.

The first phase of the 407E is to be completed by 2015. (Up to Harmony Rd.) The next part will be completed to the East Durham Link by 2017. Phase 2 will be completed by 2020. (All the way to the 115)

I was in Laval, Quebec last week and I noticed on Highway 15 that they had a HOV lane for part of the highway. They set it up a bit differently and it is only HOV mon-fri from 3pm-7pm. Here are some pictures from Google Streetview.
