I got my letter as well today and it was pretty much what they had told me, the amount I paid during interim-occupancy less about $250. So I called up the Liberty Controller (the person who signed the letter), and basically what he explained to me was that Liberty had already paid a portion of...

That's right. So you get back what you paid in taxes to liberty during interim-occupance, less the $250 (may be less or more depending on your unit I would assume).

I just spoke to Silvia at Liberty as well. She was able to tell me how much I would be getting back from them. So we get back what we paid for as property taxes as part of our interim-occupancy fee less some amount that is the taxes Liberty had to pay (some $250 for me). Correct me if I'm...

How did they confirm? I faxed in my property tax bill but have not heard anything and that was a few days ago. Did they fax something back or mail something to you?

Moved in mid July last summer and registration was a week or so before Christmas if I'm not mistaken, so about 5 months for me. I'm 8th floor M1 so I was probably one of the earlier units to take occupancy so others were likely much shorter.

I've got to say that I've had quite the opposite experience with the elevators. I'm in M1, which has considerably less units then M2, and thus less traffic flow through the elevators, but in terms of the efficiency of getting people around, I think they are doing a great job. I rarely have to...

Isn't a portion of the interim occupancy fee supposed to include property taxes. This is an interesting point you make and I am definately gonna check the paperwork when I get home. If you pay for property taxes as part of your interim occupancy then you should definately not be double paying...

Why give the government the money upfront. If they want to take two years to assess property taxes, let them. That means the money stays in your pocket for an extra two years in which you can earn income on that money from investing it. By allowing the bank to deduct property taxes with your...

I think I was the one who posted this a while back. I actually called Honeywell and they told me that the unit we had is a commercial unit and that because of the three fan speeds, residential units are not compatable with our heat/AC system. We currently have the only model that Honeywell makes...

Yeah I popped in for a minute. Walked around and then walked right out. I don't care how good the deals were there was no way I was waiting in those crazy lines.

I actually had an issue with my stove top a couple of months back. I have the glass top whirlpool stove that came with the unit. I called Whirlpool customer care and they sent a service guy out to assess. They needed to order a part so they had to come back a couple of days later. All of our...

I would imagine so. There isn't any other park around.

A Beer Store would have probably doubled our property values. I used to live at Bathurst and Finch and there used to be a beer store in the plaza at the corner and when they closed it a few years ago every single store in the plaza, inlcuded the flower shop, had a petition to bring it back. Who...
