Ah right. But that space must still be there... it was a fairly decent gym. I wonder what it's being used for, or if it is just sitting abandoned for the last decade.

Am I the only one who remembers the gym in the Skydome? I am definitely not imagining this because I used to go there regularly. It was one of the only gyms in the area that had squash courts. If I'm not mistaken, I believe it was a Goodlife. One day I went in, and the receptionist told me they...

    Toronto CIBC SQUARE | 241.39m | 50s | Hines | WilkinsonEyre

A name is a completely imaginary concept - people can "call" something whatever they want. If most people know the building as the ACC, and prefer that name to the "new" one, then it simply makes logical sense to refer to it as the ACC - unless you are dying to give some free publicity to...

Took me a while to figure out what "SBA" was. Can we stick to calling it the ACC

Just saw my first baseball game of the season in the SkyDome and I'm actually impressed with how well it's held up. Rogers has done a great job with the landscaping around the SkyDome itself - all new interlocking stone everywhere, new railings with integrated LED lighting, even the drain grates...

Looks quite dull if you ask me. Was and still is overpriced. I had a few friends living there and the streetcar noise was always quite bad.. although they had a long respite from that with the Spadina streetcar track upgrade. Don't understand what all the praise is for.

Isn't that more or less what they did with the Eiffel tower?

+1... I have a very bad feeling about this one - especially after looking at that test panel...

What a disaster of a building. There were many holding out hope - saying we should wait until it's completed... but I think we can all agree now this thing is a disaster.

Well it's certainly getting something done to it - it's been fenced off pretty much all summer.

The parking lot to the north of Fly is the enormous one that stretches diagonally all the way from Front and Spadina to Blue Jays way and Wellington. And I do actually agree that it would be a shame to build something tall enough here to leave Clarence Square park in permanent darkness.

They can't possibly be leaving the north wall like that.... can they???

I imagine that's simply because they have no choice. The north side of the building is pressed right up against the condo to the north of it (I think it's called symphony tower or something), and there would be no room to remove the brick and replace it.
