It seems I was right the first time. So up until the very end, basically all the polls just sucked. 0.08%, which puts that doggie in the top 5th of candidates.

Heheh. Actually I did a lookup of the number and people report the number is associated with scammers and telemarketers. So it's probably either some existing bulk texting service or else a spoofed number.

I know very little about Toronto politics, but I'll give my 2¢ as an ill-informed outsider anyway. I feel it's not unreasonable to weigh in this way, as probably most voters are even more ill-informed than me, unfortunately. ;) I'm thinking Josh Matlow is unlikely to gain much traction going...

Yeah, Toronto "feel" with a hybrid of locations makes sense. The choice of Lester B Pearson makes sense too because it's potentially recognizably Toronto even for non-Torontonians - YYZ. However, I think in street shot we are looking west, because she's flying through the air south.

According to today's housepriceindex.ca database update, houses are now worth 2.75X as much as when I bought back in August 2007, with the Toronto index breaking through the psychological 300 barrier for the first time in history. (The index was arbitrarily set at 100 for June 2005.)...

So, how long do we have to wait before we declare it a soft landing? Prices peaked in July of 2017 with an index of 254.93, and then fell 7.4% to 236.07 in Dec. 2017. Since then in the last year and a half, they've increased at about the rate of inflation. In any case, in less than 6 months...

I just got my mortgage discharge documentation last week and in the letter from my bank they said to contact the insurance company to tell them the mortgage is discharged. So, I did, and guess what? My insurer has a huge discount for mortgage-free owners. I got almost a 20% discount! This was...
