Miscellany Toronto Photographs: Then and Now

Congrats Toronto Then and Now on your 1000th page! I've been a lurker since day 1. I have a Then and Now of my own to celebrate the milestone! First photo is a Toronto Toros/Edmonton Oilers game my family and I attended in 1976 at the Maple Leaf Gardens. Same building 43 years later, now called...

Hi everyone! It's lovely weather for the October 2019 version of Torontohenge! I took these tonight at Queen Street West and Brock Avenue, opposite the Parkdale Library. I would like to see everyone else's photos, so share away!

Wondering about a building from the past

I have a question about a building I once went to in Etobicoke about more than 20 years ago. I've only been a member of that club since last May, but you are spot on about the clubhouse! The re-do will be welcome to us and (to my knowledge) it might not affect our season this summer.

I used to work at the building beside the Salvation Army (before it became Hakim Optical)

Yes, and it would have relieved some of the crowding as well!

Funny how the 'Sam the Chinese Food Man' would later become another Asian food place! I went to the Sam's with my mom back in 1977 before we went to our summer cottage. Fast forward 39 years later: I returned to Korean Grill House at the end of April when one of my co-workers left for Croatia ...

The Alpine Way makes three! The Skyride of today seems boring, but it's great for video shooting!
