I finally found the Fish & Chip photo. Not sure of the year or location. Somewhere on the Danforth, east of Broadview. If someone has any more information it would be greatly appreciated. Andrews Fish & Chips Cafe.
Not sure why Goldie but as a wee lad I lived on Brimley south of Sheppard in the late 50's and my parents called this tower the "Professors" aerial. Go figure.
Nice photos of that area Goldie , I have never seen those views of Broadview & Danforth. Are they from the Toronto Archives ? My wife's grandfather owned a restaurant called Andrews Fish'n'Chips around there in the 1930's but I have never been able to figure out where exactly.
I stand corrected adma. 1980 it is. Doing very well Mustapha , thanks for asking. Very busy with life and trying to add every photo ever made over at Vintage Toronto. I get lost every time I pop over to Urban Toronto with all the new topics. I really have to get off the computer and get out and...
I wish I had this photo when I walked top to bottom on Church Street doing Then & Now photos. Big changes to the Parkin building over the years at 717 Church.
Thanks Goldie. I like roaming around that part of town. By the way , I really enjoy all your posts. What camera and effect are you using on a lot of the photos you have been posting lately ? Like on this one -- http://i793.photobucket.com/albums/yy213/gdunbar/CNE201409_zps6f03d869.jpg
