It's not worth it in this case, I suppose, but the decision could be appealed to the IPC - I very much doubt that it would take 30 seconds per email or document. Anyone can search for any character string in gigabytes of data in a matter of seconds.

    Hudson's Bay Company

I haven't bought anything at Hudson's Bay since their delivery person ignored the front desk staff and insisted on bringing me the pillows I ordered at 2 am on a weekday. I suppose he thought I was awake and desperately pillowless.

Just larger apartments it seems, according to their website. For $6,330 a month, you have what looks like the same tiny wall kitchen as the 400 sq. ft. bachelor on the same floor.

Downtown Grocery Store List (current + proposed)

The selection is not as good, and the store is not as well managed in general. If your store opens at 8 am and you have no cilantro and no basil at all on display at 11 am (and that's just two items I needed), there is a problem.

    What's Cooking?

No pics, but tonight I made a classic roast chicken seasoned with herbes de Provence, a dish of baked cauliflower with a gruyère-fontina Mornay sauce, and asparagus vinaigrette, and now I'm lying awake in bed pondering an existential question: why did I also make a flourless cake with a pound of...

    LCBO / The Beer Store

I always use one of their plastic bags with six openings in them; the bottles are well protected from each other. And with "LCBO" written in large white letters on each side of the dark grey bag, I advertise not only a monopoly but also my questionable drinking habits.

    LCBO / The Beer Store

I realized those paper bags were useless when I came home from the LCBO only to have my bottle of red wine go right through the bag and smash on the floor. Since then I always bring a sturdy reusable bag.

I experienced such a system at La Tour des Canadiens, a condo building in Montreal right next to the Bell Centre, where I rented an AirBnb back when it was still legal in that area. You would punch in the desired floor on a screen and it would direct you to a specific elevator. Fastest...

    Restaurant Comings & Goings

I seem to remember another U.S. signature-bread-stick chain that hightailed it out of here long ago.

Elevator ratios are a Building Code (ie provincial) issue I suppose? I sent a letter to Councillor Saxe about this development, for all the good it will do. The MMAH is a client and I never complain to government clients, even about unrelated issues. Anyway, people have to get more vocal about...

As I mentioned before, I lived at Residences of College Park I on the 50th floor for 10 years. Taken together, ROCP's two towers are similar to this new project when it comes to the total number of floors and apartments, but they have a total of 12 elevators. The 6 elevators for 658 apartments...

    The Retail Apocalypse

I have a great Timberland down-filled coat that is similar to Canada Goose and that I bought for a couple of hundred dollars about 20 years ago. I didn't wear it once last season because it wasn't a winter worthy of the name. (It usually isn't because I'm from Québec City, where they have real...

100% of the average rent according to the CMHC's Rental Market Report is not "affordable" housing. I guess Ford would call it "attainable".
